Flying the Camel

The seats now have their initial cots of paint, so the “Leatherising” can begin

first a wash of black paint to darken the crevices, the wax I use collects on the high areas, so some darkening is needed in the creases.

Then a few more coats of red, to cover over the overbrushing of the black wash

And then finally a coat of black shoe polish and some buffing, and the seats now look like worn leather.

And contrast nicely with the red “Carpet”
